Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Co-Op (Fall2025)
Job Description: The Role: Our site in Burnet, TX is seeking an Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
The EHS Co-Op will support Entegris by helping to define and implement best practice solutions & by working cooperatively across departments with various stakeholders (from front line operators to the site director). Significant EHS projects include air monitoring and hazardous waste development, ergonomics control solutions in various operations, and environmental sustainability. What you'll do:
- Project: Chemical Inventory to create, integrate and implement annual audit into operations stored chemical inventories. Review and implement chemical tracking software. Improves ability to eliminate serious injury from reporting agencies
- Project: Define top five facility wide waste profiles that have the ability to be reduced, reused, or recycled based on waste characterization, profile development, and disposal/discharge
- Project: Inspections of waste storage areas to create, integrate and implement audits to ensure work areas are in compliance
- Project: Environmental sustainability, air monitoring and scrubber unit integration to validate emissions and waste reduction efforts
What we seek:
- Outgoing and cooperative to work cross-functionally
- Ability to interface with manufacturing engineering, operations, new product development, and facilities teams
- Willingness to learn and work hands-on with chemical processing equipment, and air and water testing instrumentation
- Experience with Excel and pivot tables
- Some laboratory experience
- Project Management skills
Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
- Chemistry, Biology, Safety, Environmental
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.
Eligibility
- Must be a currently enrolled student
- Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in July through December
- Must be familiar with the university's requirements to participate in a co-op program

- Compensation: $20-$30/hour range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
