Director, Project Discovery

Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team of individuals that ensure accurate and high-quality outcomes through successful planning, design, and execution. You will focus on discovery and framing engagements and initiatives that drive value for the Technology department and the enterprise. You will manage the number and types of discovery and framing engagements the team facilitates.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product and development leaders and other stakeholders to foresee staff capacity needs to plan for expansion as necessary, based on business requirements.
• Participate in Technology leadership meetings to discuss strategy, organization performance, standards and guidelines.
• Participate in strategic meetings for the technology organization; actively partner with other leaders to drive strategy and direction within Vizient Technology.
• Accountable for the Discovery practice across the enterprise.
• Hire, onboard, mentor and ongoing performance management for members of the Project Delivery Team.
• Create and administer individualized development plan for direct reports.
• Keep abreast of external technology trends, facilitation methodologies, internal technology road maps and proactively steer staff development towards appropriate mix of skills.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree in a business-related field preferred.
• 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
• Extensive experience leading large-scale facilitation sessions, effectively guiding cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and diverse groups through complex discussions, strategic planning, and decision-making processes required.
• Expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies is required
• Skilled in producing high-quality outputs and artifacts from facilitated discovery sessions, with expertise in capturing, analyzing, and documenting business processes and requirements is required.
• Knowledge of business analysis within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is preferred.
• Experience leading and managing team highly preferred.
• You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
