We have an opportunity for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our Delavan, WI team. You will be the established point of contact to manage all aspects of occupational health and safety and environment for the manufacturing facility. This position will work closely with all functional areas to ensure that all parties understand compliance requirements and to ensure they are maintained. This position will engage all employees and effectively lead in a behavior-based safety approach to maximize employee safety and drive personal accountability. Effectiveness in this position will require creative leadership of non-subordinate employees working with and through them to maintain facility compliance and drive behavioral and sustainable.

You will:

  • Provide leadership in developing, implementing, and managing Environmental, Health and Safety policies, procedures, programs, and practices. This will include and it is not limited to, managing, and coordinating a variety of EH&S aspects while revitalizing the emphasis in EH&S approaches.
  • Responsible for all Environmental, Health and Safety compliance with company, local, state, and federal requirements. This will include and it is not limited to management of all permits, associated inspections, associated monitoring, and annual reporting including air emissions, POTW discharge permit, and WPDES/NPDES discharge permits. Responsible for other regulatory reporting/requirements including toxic release inventory (TRI), Tier II, CERCLA remediation, and spill prevention control and countermeasure (SPCC) plan.
  • Point of contact for all scheduled and unscheduled agency inspections. Actively participate in internal and external discussions and meetings, with auditors, agencies, consultants & EHS corp. This will include and it is not limited to; participation in corporate sponsored safety audits and compliance reviews in support of the company EH&S process.
  • Respond to EH&S incidents and leads the on-site emergency response team. Including providing technical support for on-going problem solving and safety investigations.
  • Develop effective communication process to make EH&S priorities and performance visible. This will include and it is not limited to; consistently coaching and working with facility leadership to be a visible leader on all aspects of EH&S such as accident prevention, safe work practices and OSHA compliance.
  • Maintain and develop, when necessary, recordkeeping systems to support demonstration of compliance with requirements. This may include development of tracking spreadsheets and databases.
  • Point persons for all EH&S reviews (management of change process) regarding capital projects, changes, modifications, and introductions. This will include and it is not limited to; safety impacts, permitting and compliance requirements. Providing management with details of what will be required and permitting timelines.
  • Review and inform leadership of any regulatory changes and prepares the site for compliance with these changes.
  • Oversees training and inspection processes for all EH&S programs.
  • Responsible for effective management of Workers Compensation matters including active case management.
  • Leads the site safety steering team and coaches the employee safety committee and sub-teams.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership or in an EHS role.
  • Experience leading in a large facility (200+) or supporting multiple facilities.
  • Experience working with environmental responsibility such as NPDES/WPDES, air emissions, and/or hazardous waste.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage through others, facilitation, and leadership experience.
  • Experience in developing and implementing sustainable EHS management systems is strongly desired.
  • Experience in waste reduction/minimization or zero-waste-to-landfill strategies is desired.
  • Skilled and effective in using Microsoft Suite programs.
  • Ability to get results with input from others in a timely manner and with a high say-do ratio.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300 - $152800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
