POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director, Events, the Development Events Intern supports all events organized through the Office of Development, including Team BMC. The Development Events Intern supports the planning and timely execution of events and special experiences for donors and prospects, as well as onsite technology to manage guests and collect donations. This candidate will be a resourceful, creative, and adaptable individual who works well under deadlines, working 3-4 days per week. The candidate must work well independently and as a member of the events team. Excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills will be critical for success in this position. Position: Development Events Intern (Fall Semester) Department: CP and E Schedule: Hybrid, 1-2 days on site per week ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Responsible for accurate and up-to-date data entry for all event related lists and mailings. Must have the knowledge of Excel spreadsheet formatting and sorting in order to manage event databases and table assignments.Conduct event research regarding venues, vendors, event supplies, sponsorships, and donors.
- Administrative duties which include but are not limited to arranging event insurance and payments, preparing agendas, preparing meeting minutes, calendaring, and preparing for meetings.
- Maintain accuracy in producing nametags, tent cards, mailing labels, and other signage appropriate for the events.
- Assist onsite event set-up, registration, logistical support, and clean-up on day of events.
- Create E-communications and work with events team on creative elements using Canva.
- Work with Communications and Operations to collect, analyze, and report out post-event data.
- Support Events Associate with storage, usage, and display of materials in office and onsite at events.
- Assist with other critical development initiatives of the department on an as needed basis.
- Conforms to hospital standards of performance and conduct, including those pertaining to patient rights, so that the best possible customer service and patient care may be provided.
- Utilizes hospital's values as the basis for decision making and to facilitate the division's hospital mission.
- Follows established hospital infection control and safety procedures.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: None EXPERIENCE: Six or more months related experience KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Desire to work in a service oriented environment
