Sr. Technology Systems Designer

This is a lead engineering and design position within our current HGA Building Technologies team leading technology system designs, working directly with owner and design teams to determined and coordinate project requirements, and leading a design team to produce construction documents. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist in responding to Requests for Proposals and participate in project interviews.

We recognize that there is a wide range of low voltage building systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in general building technologies with the ability to apply multiple technologies strategically to improve our client's businesses in these market sectors: public, corporate, higher education, arts and culture, science and technology, and healthcare. Typical experience might cover systems such as:

Wired and Wireless Voice and Data Networks Infrastructure
• Audiovisual systems including presentation, digital signage, etc.
• Security systems including access control, video surveillance, duress, etc
• Real Time Locating Systems
• Building Management/Automation Systems

1. Leads meetings with client leadership and stakeholders to discuss project and technology related goals, concepts, budgets and design details
2. Strategizes with internal and external teams to develop current and future technology solutions for application to our client's organizations
3. Works with internal and external teams to develop and implement decision making processes and build consensus around project related decisions
4. Works with client teams to understand current technologies and develop strategies and processes to evaluate and implement new technologies
5. Clearly and concisely communicates technology concepts to technical and non-technical clientele
6. Works to understands our client's business with the ability to strategically introduce technology to improve business outcomes
7. Is the client facing Building Technologies lead guiding and educating client leadership and stakeholders
8. Plans and guides site survey activities to document existing building technology systems
9. Leads internal and external teams in technology visioning sessions to introduce new technologies into client organizations and create technology focused roadmaps for long term implementation
10. Provides an example for the team to emulate in terms of professionalism and design excellence
11. Works with internal team directing designers in design concepts and requirements to complete and deliver documents
12. Directs implementation of standard procedures for project deliverable production, review, and issuance. Performs quality control for deliverables including presentation, packaging, adherence to standards, completeness, and timeliness
13. Develops project fees, workplans, and scopes of work for prospective projects

• A B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or other applicable design and engineering fields
• BICSI RCDD Certification, ASIS PSP, or Avixa CTS-D is preferred
• Professional Engineering license (PE) is preferred
• Willingness to seek and obtain new certifications as needed to perform the role
• Manufacturer certifications in relevant design capabilities and systems/product understanding are a plus
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of Low Voltage Systems including Telecommunications Infrastructure. Knowledge and experience in adjacent building technology systems such as Security Systems - Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion/Duress, Audio/Video Systems, Digital Signage and Paging/Sound Masking Systems is a plus

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $83,200 - $120,800
