STEM Education. The mission of the College of Education is to prepare well-equipped professionals for the education field. The Summer Ventures Camp is an outreach program hosted by the Center for
STEM Education for high school students in the region. |
Job Duties |
The Center for Stem Education is seeking individuals to fill five vacancies for Residence Life Assistants with the Summer Ventures camp in a temporary, time-limited, exempt professional staff (
EPS) position with availability from July 5, 2025 through July 26, 2025. The Summer Ventures Residence Life Assistant (RA) will assist the Residence Life Director (
RLD) in supervision, guidance, organization, and activities for approximately 50 academically successful high school juniors and seniors from all across NC, as well as assist with coordination of RA tasks/duties. Students and staff live in an
ECU residence hall for three weeks of the program and attend various challenging classes on ECUs campus taught by faculty. RAs will communicate with students, other Residence Life staff, faculty, parents, and Summer Ventures administration to be certain we are offering our students a high-impact experience in accordance with our mission.
Supervision (70%)
The Summer Ventures RAs will conduct supervision, guidance, and organization of activities for our approximately 50 students.
Administration - Coordination of RA tasks/duties (20%)
Utilizing technology skills and resources to support the
RLD and communicate with students, other Residence Life staff, faculty, parents, and Summer Ventures administration to be certain we are offering our students a high impact enrichment experience in accordance with our mission.
Management - Student and Staff Assistance (10%)
The Summer Ventures RAs will support the
RLD and Residence Life Assistant Director by supporting and supervising the Summer Ventures students. |
