Job Description

Maintains and refines the Trauma Performance Improvement Patient Safety Program (PIPS) in
conjunction with the Vice President, Trauma Medical Director, Trauma Program Manager and
Trauma Registrars.
Maintains clinical knowledge base needed to perform assigned duties through reading pertinent
literature and attending hospital based education programs

Maintains knowledge of the Pennsylvania
Trauma System Foundation (PTSF) standards and regulations related to trauma performance
improvement

Supports interdisciplinary/interdepartmental clinical and operational teams or
committees as assigned

Provides analytical support of the Trauma Performance Improvement Patient
Safety program Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of
the Hospital.

Bachelors Nursing
Registered Nurse licensure required
Trauma Pennsylvania
Critical Care Pennsylvania
Minimum five years critical care and/or emergency department clinical experience.

Clinical experience
in an acute care hospital Experience with developing, facilitating and motivating performance
improvement teams

Ability to be self motivated and result driven

Experience with the utilization of
performance measurement tools and techniques. i.e. control charts, trending analysis, etc.
Experienced with computer programs; i.e., excel, word, power point.
