Position Highlights |
The Academic Advising Professional serves as frontline contact for undergraduate students for developmental academic advising to drive engagement and empower students to achieve their academic and career goals. Plays a vital role in maximizing undergraduate student retention. Builds formative relationships with students by interpreting information and providing clarification on procedures and academic requirements of specific programs or majors.

Duties & Responsibilities |
- Using standard protocols, provide academic advising to undergraduate majors, minors, and certificate students in Public Health
- Utilize UAccess and other advising tools to maintain advising notes and track academic progress
- Assist with facilitation of New Student Orientation, Transfer Student Orientation, recruitment events, and graduation
- Assist with career development programming

- Ability to work effectively with students from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences

Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required
- 1 year of relevant work experience required

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report |
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
