Position: Voice Field Technician Location: Various Hospitals and Clinics (Travel required, costs covered by client) Responsibilities: * Pull Customer Service Records (CSR) and identify Centrex and Copper Lines. * Validate and test existing Red Phones. * Document non-existing Red Phones and submit work orders. * Complete new installs or upgrades. * Disconnect old numbers/circuits. Top Skills Required: * Extensive knowledge of PSTN and protocols (ISDN, CAS, PRI, POTS, Centrix). * Experience with signaling protocols (Voice TDM, ISDN, PRI, T1/T3, DTMF, FXS/FXO). * Understanding of Voice and Data cabling (Cat3, Cat5, Cat6 wiring, 66M blocks). * Experience tagging, toning, and testing from MDFs. * Installing phone hardware and systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications: * Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel. * Must be presentable in a hospital setting. Business Drivers/Customer Impact: * Ensure the functionality of emergency phone systems within Hospitals. * Test existing phone connectivity and replace/install new phones as needed. External Communities Job Description: * Support a large national health system in replacing emergency phone systems. * Conduct site surveys to identify phone locations and associated numbers. * Deploy, document, and test new phones.
