Company & Role:
Manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee key accounting functions and ensure the accuracy of financial records. This role involves managing aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support accounting staff in daily operations and monthly close processes.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
  • Oversee the percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting process.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close, including coordination of annual physical inventory.
  • Facilitate the integration of acquisitions into the ERP system.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain financial controls and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • BA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Preferably 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage and motivate a team.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
