DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Scrum Master I to join our team specializing in systems/information technology for our Cummins business in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Establish Lean/Agile Leadership: By promoting lean and agile principles, youll foster a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.

Support the Product Owner: Your collaboration with the Product Owner will ensure that the product backlog is well-managed and prioritized, leading to successful project outcomes.

Promote Quality Practices: Implementing and advocating for quality practices will enhance the overall product quality and customer satisfaction.

Guide and Coach Team Members: Your expertise in agile practices will help team members grow and improve, fostering a supportive and high-performing team environment.

Drive Agile Adoption: By bridging the gap between agile theory and practice, youll help the team embrace agile methodologies, leading to more effective and adaptive project management.

Monitor and Establish Key Metrics: Tracking agile metrics will provide valuable insights into team performance and project progress, enabling proactive problem-solving and value-driven delivery.

Facilitate Work Without Coercion: Creating an environment of mutual respect and autonomy will empower team members to take ownership of their work and collaborate effectively.

Remove Impediments: By identifying and addressing obstacles, youll ensure that the team can maintain momentum and focus on delivering business value.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Business Insight and Global Perspective: Apply your knowledge of the business and marketplace to advance organizational goals while taking a broad, global view when approaching issues.

Effective Communication and Conflict Management: Develop and deliver clear, multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences, and handle conflict situations effectively with minimal disruption.

Agile Systems Thinking and Lean-Agile Mindset : Embrace a holistic approach to analysis, focusing on interrelations within systems, and advocate for Lean-Agile principles to support the adoption of SAFe practices.

Building High-Performance Teams and Continuous Delivery: Identify and apply critical skills and Lean-Agile principles to create high-performing teams, and implement workflows and automation for continuous delivery and DevOps to meet market and customer demands.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.

Agile Certification (Certified Scrum Master - CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Safe Scrum Master Certification (SSM) are preferred.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience working in a software development organization and in an Agile environment as a scrum master demonstrating knowledge and practical experience of the Lean methodology, principles and tools are preferred.

Compensation

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidates qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
