Performs professional duties involving the selection or development, implementation, testing, documentation, maintenance, and efficient utilization of applications software to meet clients' Information Services (IS) ERP needs.

I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Reviews assigned portions of business operations and identifies clients' information system's needs. Defines processes, problems and requirements. Performs cost/benefit analyses.
2. Performs assignments for the design and analysis of business information systems to meet client's needs. Develops detailed specifications which define the functional and reporting requirements of necessary information systems. Assists in studies of the impact of major systems conversions.
3. Apprises clients of practical implications of information systems changes, ensuring that the client is informed of available alternatives and their relative advantages and disadvantages.
4. Recommends, or assists in the determination of, the appropriate means for the delivery of necessary applications software, whether through the selection and implementation of available products or through the development or modification of custom applications software.
5. Develops and/or modifies custom applications software. Writes programs/code using a variety of programming languages to meet defined information systems specifications. Designs screen layouts.
6. Participates in the design specification, analysis, development and testing of reports to meet client needs.
7. Installs standard applications software products in clients' personal computers and host networked computers. Tests installed programs to ensure proper performance at clients' site.
8. Performs systems tests, debugs software, and ensures that test requirements are met. May assist in writing users instructions and portions of users manuals.
9. Provides on-going and follow-up support to clients for assigned projects, and serves as a liaison between clients, vendors and other I.S. staff to ensure relevant client needs are met.
10. Provides individual coaching and other training to foster clients' self-sufficiency and optimize system utilization. Participates with I.S. Training staff for the delivery of courses and workshops. Provides guidance and training to less experienced members of I.S. staff.
11. May assist in the development of project plans. Adheres to timeliness, reports project performance problems.
12. Assists in selection of standard available applications software. Evaluates and tests relevant products.
13. Maintains a knowledge of current products, systems development and programming techniques, and related information systems technology.

II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:

Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
2. Current certification(s) or ability to achieve, as required by department

Experience/Skills:

Required:
1. 0-5 years' of relevant experience.
2. Must be able to work off hours and participate in on-call rotation.

Preferred:
1. Experience working with Workday as an ERP solution.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.

III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

Work is considered sedentary. Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment.
