Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FANUC Robotics Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of FANUC robotic systems, including programming, troubleshooting, maintenance, and system integration. This role requires strong technical expertise to support automation projects, optimize robotic performance, and ensure efficient operation in a manufacturing environment. The candidate should also be an expert in Virtual Twin technology to enhance simulation and digital twin capabilities.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements


  • Lead team members through the installation and commissioning of complex electrical architectures with a high level of integrated automation using Digital Twin technology

  • Support customers on troubleshooting large scale automation systems using Digital Twin technology and in person on system

  • Conduct troubleshooting & root cause / corrective actions

  • Install / integrate / test system parts & assemblies using industry best practices & Digital Twin

  • Install / integrate / test industrial PLC's & electrical control systems

  • Install / integrate / test industrial electro-mechanical & robotic systems

  • Work with software developers to troubleshoot system logic & controls (SW and/or robotics integration or development experience will be a significant advantage)

  • Develop / maintain project documentation (i.e.: system requirements, troubleshooting notes, drawing redlines, equipment manuals, test plans, project notes, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with MiTek installation procedures, guidelines, industry standards, & governmental regulations applicable to industrial machinery at customer facilities

  • Maintain system level expertise to help guide the team and bridge gaps between the electrical and mechanical teams with customers

  • Review / Stay current with industry trends & emerging technologies


Qualifications


  • Bachelors in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering - required

  • 6+ Years experience working with FANUC robots (specifically m10, 710, r2000 models) in an industrial setting - required

  • Proficiency in FANUC programming languages and software tools - required

  • Strong understanding of automation systems, PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), and industrial networks - required

  • Expertise in Virtual Twin technology and its applications in robotics - required

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - required

  • Strong communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration - required

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment - required

  • Knowledge of material handling or assembly applications - preferred

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies - preferred

  • Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis

  • Ability to read and understand prints and schematics

  • Able to use Microsoft Office Applications


Additional Requirements


  • Valid drivers' license and proof of auto insurance required.

  • 50% Travel required (up to 50% during critical on-site activities)


Physical Demands

  • This role will be accessing areas within a building that are undergoing renovations and may be exposed to temperature changes. Must have the ability to move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place, hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm, use core muscles and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired, bend, stretch, twist and reach out. This role requires visual acuity to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away and determine the distance between objects. Fine motor skills are required to be able to use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects and use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects. This role requires the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
