R&D Program Manager

Location : Chicago - Onsite

Job duties:

* Strong Lifesciences R&D experience - (10-15 years)
* Experience in Program management. Excellent communication client facing skills.
* Provide strategic and thought leadership and partner with the customer
* Preferred agile project management experience - MDM, Data Governance, Compliance Background, DATA related domains, Data warehousing, Cloud data migration etc
* Participates in meetings with clients and internal teams to identify adequate services/offerings to meet clients' evolving needs as required
* Serves as the Subject Matter Expert on processes, capacity, timelines, etc.
* Experience of the whole project life cycle able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage in the depths of system testing and at each stage in between
* Understand, Establish and implement master data management standards, enforce data governance procedures and ensure data integrity across various platforms.
* Manage MDM data migration requirements and processes for consolidating legacy systems.
* Understand and Manage consolidation of legacy systems into a single source of truth
* Thorough knowledge of program structuring and work planning
* The ability to foster motivation within the project team to meet tight deadlines
* Serves as the main day-to-day contact on multiple projects for clients, suppliers, external partners, and the Account team; provides timely responses to all inquiries.
* Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate the state of effectiveness, Flags timely risks and mitigations plans
* Design, document, and maintain data processes, training material and flows across Master Data Management (MDM) and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems/solutions.
* Advise users as to the applicability of various alternatives to meet the specific requirements
* Designs and assists in the design and document of business processes and procedure, the development of training materials and the delivery of training etc.
* Participate in various user group forums to address issue management, to field and manage enhancement request and to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas among users in each functional area of the business.
* Team management experience comfortable matrix managing project teams of up to 10-15 people
* Ensures cross functional collaborations with within IT and between IT and Business Teams
* Educational Background will be specifically requested

Salary and Other Compensation:

The salary for this position is between $134,500 - $145,000k depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
