Position Description: |
The Department of Dermatology at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine invites applicants for a 1-2 year Clinical Research Fellowship. This is a 1-2 year program focused on supporting and participating in clinical trials. The program is open to MD, DO or MD/PhD degree holders. Preference will be given to PGY2 candidates and those eligible for medical licensure. Extension for up to three years is available. Research Fellows will work with a primary mentor to determine the goals and duties of the position. These will likely include working with site principal investigators on investigator-initiated or pharma-sponsored clinical trials, enrollment in patient registries, the development of case reports and case series, and/or basic science support. The position can be tailored to candidate interests and departmental research needs. Research is or has been supported in the department by the National Institutes of Health, Veterans Administration, Dermatology Foundation, industry sponsors, and private endowments. |

The program is open to MD, DO or MD/PhD degree holders that have completed an internship year. Preference will be given to those eligible for medical licensure. |
