Responsibilities

Arcfield is growing and seeking a Systems Engineer Senior Technical Specialist to support Decision Management Support for their customer's COMM Directorate. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to plan and ensure a systematic and coordinated review and assessment of engineering and acquisition activities to meet the criteria required to successfully complete specified readiness milestones. (Please note, an offer for this position will be contingent on an awarded contract.)

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead a systematic and coordinated review and assessment of engineering and acquisition activities to meet the criteria required to successfully complete specified readiness milestones
  • Support and participate in design reviews, trade studies, technical exchange meetings, PMRs, shoulder-to-shoulder discussions, architecture reviews, and readiness and programmatic activities in support of Enterprise-level, COMM-level, System-level, Service-level, and project-level milestones
  • Provide subject matter expert (SME) support to Readiness Review Teams constituted to assess Service Provider and Program Office programs and acquisitions technical and programmatic readiness
  • Coordinate and facilitate system artifact review activities and comments and Review Item Discrepancy (RID) resolutions
  • Update and maintain the COMM Life-cycle Readiness Management Plan

Qualifications

BS 12-15, MS 10-13, PhD 8-10

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Development/Management/Communications, or related field
  • Outstanding customer intimacy skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams as well as to interface effectively with personnel at all levels of government
  • A commitment to quality, accuracy, continuous improvement, and be detailed oriented
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks concurrently
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated judgment, initiative, and critical thinking to execute mission objectives
  • The ability to travel as necessary to satisfy assigned tasks
  • Be comfortable and flexible with executing additional duties as assigned
  • Has demonstrated a holistic approach in order to design, develop, evaluate and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle
  • Is able to quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics
  • Has established and coordinated the development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to overall product development
  • Has acted as a customer liaison and supporter for business development activities in order to understand and shape requirements
  • Has participated in system conceptual designs and documented the design concepts
  • Can translate high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and work with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed requirements
  • Experience using analytical methods, tools, and processes to assist stakeholders in making informed decisions throughout the system lifecycle
  • Ability to combine technical expertise with decision-making frameworks, ensuring that choices about system design, development, and implementation are data-driven, optimized, and aligned with project goals

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Experience designing, researching and developing highly advanced applications, which may result in new product/business opportunities for the company
  • Experience ensuring requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods
  • Has reviewed test plans/procedures to ensure they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participated in the testing process to validate requirements
  • Has experience working for the Federal Government/IC
