JOB SUMMARY
The program manager is responsible for the Business Administrative Systems (BAS) and portfolio, managing projects directly and managing the staff of BAS project managers. This role requires deep knowledge of PeopleSoft, MyTime, and other Human Resources systems and healthcare business systems applications and the capability of managing multiple highly complex technology projects simultaneously. Requires strong leadership skills and a high EQ and process oriented individual capable of influencing senior leadership and relating to a diverse project team. PeopleSoft implementation or Workday systems implementation experience is required. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and is not eligible for H1B sponsorship. Candidates must reside in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex or be willing to relocate.

  • Experience
    7 years Managing medium size information technology related projects and
    10 years Working within a technology project team
    Equivalent related experience may be used in lieu of degree

JOB DUTIES



  • Manage multiple related projects within the project portfolio or assigned areas that are managed toward common strategic business objectives.
  • Supervise constituent Project Managers to monitor cost, schedules, and strategic alignment with business objectives.
  • Liaise with program/project stakeholders and manage customer relationships. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and key stakeholders. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Identify and resolve issues within project teams.
  • Oversee project quality and status for all assigned projects. Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend budgetary changes when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to obtain required personnel from within the institution. Assess needs for additional staff and/or consultants and take necessary steps to recruit personnel during project cycles.
  • Determine frequency and content of status reports from project teams, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues that may arise with those changes, and develop appropriate contingency plans.
  • Develop and cultivate necessary business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Develop best practices and tools for execution and management for multi-armed and related projects.
  • May supervise staff in performance of duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
