Responsibilities

As a Network Firewall Administrator, you will be responsible for assessing, designing, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining enterprise-level next-generation firewall technologies, including Cisco ASA, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and Virtual Private Networks (VPN) in a 24/7 enterprise environment. Additionally, you will conduct regular audits of firewall configurations across all network segments, including Data Center, Campus, Wireless, and Wide Area Networks. This is a 3-6 months contract opportunity requiring 2 days a week in office and remaining remote work must be from Lakewood, Colorado.



Qualifications

    Must have Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Must be able to participate in after-hours work as required for on-call and system implementations
  • Must have experience in administering enterprise-level next-generation Firepower firewall technology with a medium to large organization knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Strong foundation in the principles, design and implementation of TCP/IP networks including OSI model, routing, VLAN's, QoS tuning and capacity management
  • Strong knowledge with layer 2 and layer 3 technologies with a focus on Cisco networking equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, WAAS and network load balancers
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols including Open Short Path First (OSPF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
  • Working knowledge in the principles, design and implementation of voice technology, including VoIP, SIP and voice gateways
  • Working knowledge of WLAN routing, switching, packet analysis, signal optimization and general wireless connectivity
  • Physical Requirement: Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a "can-do" attitude

Compensation Range: $100K-$120K
