Dynamic Ratings is adding a Regional Development Engineering Manager to our Team to lead a subset of the software engineering team. In this role, you will l ead and manage a regional team of development engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth . As a Regional Development Engineering Manager, your main focus will be: Team Leadership Coaching, employee development, and performance management. Support hiring of new team members Project Oversight Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines. Work with teams to ensure project estimates, schedules and trackers are up to date and accurate. Work with Engineering Director and other stakeholders to follow the New Product Development process. Work with relevant parties to refine business and technical requirements into detailed specifications for the teams to develop and test against. Collaborate with the engineering team to support, review and document architectural designs on new products and features (including hardware, firmware, application software and user interfaces). Ensure alignment across the functional groups and adherence with company standards and industry best practices. DevOps Management Oversee the implementation and maintenance of DevOps practices, ensuring reliable and secure build systems that meet our industry expectations. Ensure build systems and processes are optimized and documented to reduce Time to Productivity for new employees or contract staff. To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications: BS in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science; or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. Proven experience in coding, testing, and developing software using languages such as C, C++. Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and various other microprocessor-based projects is also essential. Experience with software security best practices, such as encryption and hashing are highly regarded. Familiarity with Linux and Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS) and developing software within them is essential. Knowledge of, or experience in, electronic design of microcontroller and FPGA based systems is beneficial. Knowledge of, or experience in, full-stack development for embedded and server-hosted software applications is beneficial. Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites.
