Responsibilities:

We are looking to hire a Vice President for our Operations practice. The person filling this position will:

  • Work closely with national client teams to define, manage and deliver the project scope
  • Develop and manage project budgets for consulting services
  • Lead multi-disciplined teams and large complex assignments. Coordinate project team interactions both internally and with the client
  • Lead and participate in the analysis and research of innovative solutions in keeping with current and future healthcare trends
  • Develop and maintain primary client relationships for project. Lead discussions with client executives and front-line clinical staff to deliver projects
  • Manage the execution and delivery of all phases of a project's scope. Responsible for quality control of project documentation
  • Maintain current knowledge of healthcare trends and their impact on our clients and HKS services offered
  • Engage in healthcare strategy, operations, facility planning and design research
  • Prepare and deliver executive level project report documents
  • Educate, market, sell, and deliver to clients

Qualifications:

  • Accredited advanced degree (master's or higher) preferred in Healthcare, Business, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Undergraduate clinical degree preferred
  • Typically with 10+ years of experience working in the healthcare setting, including administrative leadership roles; significant consulting experience preferred
  • Subject matter expertise preferred in ambulatory, acute care, oncology, or support services
  • Experience in working with architects preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare Lean Process Improvement and/or Six Sigma preferred
  • Willing to travel up to 60% based on HKS and client needs
  • Proficient with Microsoft programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner both verbally and in writing to various audiences including key stakeholders
  • Ability to problem solve and apply innovative solutions
  • Ability to collaborate and encourage collaboration in a team environment
