Job Title: PACS System Administrator

First Shift - Full Time

Job Description:

Responsible for the management of the PACS system. Responsible for the activities related to the installation, implementation, training, and use of the PACS. Responsible for daily management of data entry scheduling staff and technical and administrative functions of the PACS system including operations, management, reporting, and interfaces. Develops, manages, and implements projects as they relate to the PACS. Assesses needs of the customers and users of the systems and takes action to develop and implement plan to resolve issues. Cross-trains with other system administrators in Radiology.

  • Works as a diagnostic radiologic technologist.
  • Acts as the diagnostic imaging liaison with all the BHR entities regarding PACS.
  • Coordinates and/or conducts training of staff on applications. Facilitates user problem resolutions and maintains effective working relationships with all users of the system.
  • Maintains inventory of equipment. Triages hardware problems and coordinates resolution with BHR IT department and/or hardware maintenance vendor.
  • Works with IT staff to resolve data communication problems.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the Radiology Director.
  • Must maintain current BLS.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Associates Degree with at least 2 years' experience with the use of Windows-based computer systems
  • Registration or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Current Radiation Operators Certification with the Kentucky Department of Human Resources
  • Familiarity with diagnostic radiology clinical and administrative procedures
  • Prior experience with system administrator work could substitute for Associates degree
  • BLS required BLS required.
