ESCO is seeking a fulltime Management Trainee to join our team!

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

All Eurpac Operating Division Affiliates

SCOPE:

Worldwide (Commissaries, Exchanges, Shoppettes, Class 6 and MWR Clubs)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and internet applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Adaptability in a changing and challenging environment
  • Ability to carry out assigned projects to completion
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to Multitask operating at a high skill level

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Become experts in use of EAGLE Eye and Retail IQ software.
  • Assist Program Managers to ensure all priorities get to the retail team within established timelines
  • Assist Retail Service Team trouble shoot issues with internal system and technology
  • Complete research and use the data to identify opportunities with Business Managers to meet client expectations
  • Assist Program Managers recap promotional programs for all clients and customers
  • Assist in the coordination of coupons and point-of-sales items mailings
  • Review all training tools to ensure accuracy and relevancy
  • Create training books for all new employees
  • Train in retail with Base Managers to learn field execution fundamentals
  • Understand the tools used in the field for success
  • Achieve a general understanding of the system requirements for our customers
  • Learn shelf standards the expectations for our client
  • Follow Base Manger training program
  • Job shadowing of Area Manager to learn key responsibilities
  • Train/Manage the BM's to sell in, schedule, and execute displays, promotions, demos and implementation of new items
  • Shelf management to include: share of shelf; pricing; item positioning; Plan-O-Gram sets; customer's re-ordering systems; Point of Sale, coupons, and other basic merchandising tasks
  • Training and management of Base Managers to company processes and procedures
  • Learn and understanding the roles of the vendor support group (stockers, demonstrators, etc.)
  • Communications and reporting in a timely fashion utilizing the technology provided
  • Other projects/requests as requested or assigned by Senior Leadership

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior retail experience is a plus - i.e. Mass Retailers and Traditional Grocery
  • Travel ready - Overnight trips to retail for training
  • Willingness to relocate upon completion of intern to hire development program

College Majors:
Business Administration, Business Management or Business Related (Economics and Statistic)

Explanation of lifting, temperature restraints, and other working conditions:

  1. Build, install and move various racks weighing up to 100 lbs.
  2. Build displays with up to 40lb case weight
  3. Freezer work at 0F
  4. Travel for store resets which last from 1 to 3 days
  5. Occasional outside case lot sales and weekend special events
