Overview Department 475 is responsible for managing the EBLAN portion of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) Network IS #190 at Electric Boat. EBLAN is an air-gapped information system (IS) that consists of over 1300 computers and 2700. The IS extends to multiple sites across three states. D475 seeks a highly motivated individual to join its desktop support team as a Desktop Engineer team. This role requires in depth knowledge and experience with all aspects of imaging and application deployment of client devices. This includes configuration, customization, implementation, testing, patching, changes, and operational support of the operating system and all deployed desktop applications. The candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for end user device hardware and software and provide higher level support to users when escalated by Management System Coordinator. The individual will be expected to perform root cause assessments and remediation as it relates to the desktop team for problem resolutions. The Desktop Engineers responsibilities include but, are not limited to:
Build, manage and maintain clients using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and BigFix
