General Job Summary:



  • Manage MES teams locate in Simpsonville, Victoria and Matamoros plants. Take full responsibility for MES system solution development, continuous enhancement and day-to-day production support in the three facilities. This position will work closely with business and IT management teams to prioritize and execute projects in scope.



Responsibility and Essential Activities:



  • Manage MES groups in Simpsonville, Victoria and Matamoros locations, including hiring, development & retention.
  • Work closely with IT & business management team to define & execute MES strategy from business planning, system integration and platform standardization perspective.
  • Take leadership on MES implementation & continuous enhancement projects by aligning with business strategy as well as IT application roadmap. Be responsible for all MES related activities including discovery, process mapping, development & test, training and cut over, ensure project success through a well-managed process.
  • Manage and control the level of MES support in the three locations. Ensure an excellent level of service for support at KEMET manufacturing plants.
  • Ensure compliance with MES policies and procedures for projects, change management and incident handling.
  • Work with ERP and other IT teams to develop and maintain manufacturing integration solution.
  • Administration of MES operational and managerial reports.
  • Establish a follow-up meeting with the management in the three manufacturing plants.


Skills / Competencies:

Education level or equivalent experience:





    • Bachelor degree or higher, in computer science or equivalent discipline
    • Minimal 5+ years' experience in MES domain
    • Minimal 3+ years' experience as IT managerial role




Knowledge and skills:



  • Good project management skills throughout planning and execution processes
  • Strong experience in IT team management
  • Expertise with MES/ shop floor control systems, good understanding with industrial MES solutions
  • Good knowledge on manufacturing process, such as SPC, OEE, etc.
  • Good communication skill in English, both oral and written
  • IT skills:

    • C#.NET development, web application
    • SQL Server/ Oracle database development
    • SSRS/ PowerBI reporting
    • DevOps & CI/CD
    • Automation interface experience
