ITS Operations Job Description
The Director IT - Application Services will lead, supervise, and mentor a team of application administrators, database administrators, and developers. This role involves supporting and developing the team's technical knowledge and professional growth through daily communication and regular performance reviews. As a senior technical and planning advisor to the CIO and other divisional leaders, the Director will play a key role in executing the university's strategic vision and priorities. Additionally, this position is part of the Information Technology Services leadership team, contributing to organizational design, strategic planning, policy creation, and the development and rollout of process methodologies. The Director will foster a customer-focused and responsive team that encourages individual initiative, collaboration, and innovation, while maintaining a balanced focus between operational excellence and transformational change. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, effective verbal and written communication, strong planning and organizational abilities, and the capacity to work strategically as a team to achieve common goals, all while upholding a high standard of professionalism.
