Sigma Defense is seeking a System Administration Engineering Technician with an in-depth knowledge of Systems and Network Engineering, as well as Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF) to become an integral part of our Fort Campbell team.

The Developmental Acquisition Analyst role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by testing, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. This individual will also mentor and provide guidance to the Systems Administrators on staff.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • In depth knowledge of network routing and protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, VPN, ACL/EACL, DMVPN, Multicast, and Juniper firewall setup.
  • Experience with ESXI, RHEL, vSphere, NEXSUS, and MS Server 2016/2019.
  • Engineering and integration knowledge in the use of various Mobile Ad hoc Network devices such as Harris, Silvus, Persistent Systems radios, and Link 16.
  • Comprehension and experience with satellite transmission plans, satellite terminal placement and pointing, and satellite modem technology.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.
  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management.
  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of Simple Key Loading (SKL) operations, related fill devices, and the associated COMSEC key material.
  • Experience with RHEL Desktop, computer imaging, updating, and the process of performing ACAS scans.
  • Experience with Cisco virtual and physical network and security concepts and practices.
  • Experience with Server OperatingSystemsand Domain Administration in a Windows Server environment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field of study.

Mandatory Certifications:

  • DoD 8410 - IAM Level 1.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Design, operate, and maintain network architecture for the MQ-1C/ER to include modernizing data transfer and development of configurations for sensor data backhaul.
  • Perform in depth inquiries of new software and hardware in support of Full Motion Video transcoding, network tools, Radio over IP (RoIP), servers, waveforms, and other systems as requested by government customers.
  • Produce engineering documentation, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
  • Develop training manuals for newly integrated hardware, software, and other systems.
  • Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
  • Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts, as well as the ability to work with various vendors on additional requirements and changes.
  • Serve as subject matter specialist providing testing know-how for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications.
  • Design and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery continuity strategy.

Salary Range: $95,000- $130,000 annually.
