A Day in the Life

Eide Bailly is seeking a EPMO Manager with deep expertise in business transformation, strategy, and delivery of enterprise-wide projects. This role will play a pivotal role in helping to shape and oversee the day-to-day management of the Project Management Office while driving strategic business initiatives, projects, and initiatives. Reporting to the Director of the EPMO, the EPMO Manager will be instrumental in building, implementing, and deploying EPMO structures, process, and best practices, while supporting continued growth and development of the project management staff. Additionally, collaboration and partnership with the firm's Transformation Office will be essential for success. It is critical that the EPMO Manager helps foster an environment of support, collaboration, and positivity, while personally driving efficiency and delivering value to the firm.

A typical day as a EPMO Manager might include the following:

  • Project Management Delivery
    • Lead the successful execution of strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering expected outcomes.
    • Provide oversight and guidance on the overall delivery of the portfolio, supporting the Project Management team while proactively collaborating with all applicable areas of the business and identifying major risks and impediments to success.
    • Drive cross-functional collaboration and communication between sponsors, business owners, and project stakeholders in disciplines and departments across the firm.
    • Implement and refine reporting mechanisms to track individual, project, and EPMO performance.
  • Process Implementation & Optimization
    • Advise, support, and collaboratively deliver on the design and implementation of EPMO policies procedures, and best practices, while harnessing a continuous improvement mindset.
    • Support the EPMO Director in establishing the standard Eide Bailly project management methodologies, templates, and tools. Manage project intake, prioritization, and resource allocation processes.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project execution and the PMO overall.
  • Growth & Mentorship
    • Mentor, coach, and develop the Project Management Office staff to enhance their skills and career growth.
    • Support fostering and maintaining a high-performance and ownership culture within the EPMO through leadership, training, and knowledge sharing.
    • Support the establishment of a competency and skills framework for project management, roles, and career progression.
    • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange amongst project teams and strategic initiatives.
  • PMO Administration
    • Assist in overseeing daily operations of the EPMO, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic objectives and the Transformation Office.
    • Develop and maintain project governance frameworks and standards.
    • Ensure effective portfolio and project reporting, tracking, and oversight.
    • Collaborate with the EPMO Director to routinely define goals and priorities.
  • Organizational Change Management (preferred)
    • Provide guidance and training on change management methodologies and tools.
    • Support the firm's transformation initiatives driving stakeholder engagement, firmwide communication, and adoption strategies.
    • Support the EPMO Director in establishing a future foundation for a firmwide change management function.

Who You Are

  • You have a minimum 8+ years of project management and PMO experience, ideally with people management experience, in a professional services setting

  • You have demonstrated expertise in PMO governance, process implementation, and project portfolio management

  • You have proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop individuals at different experience levels

  • You have experience in assessing, validating, and driving transformation initiatives

  • You have a strong track record in leading and delivering strategic and IT projects

  • You have proven experience in implementing organizational change management frameworks and knowledge

  • You have mastery of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, or PRINCE2 to tailor approaches to project needs.

  • You have an understanding strategic planning principles to align project objectives with organizational goals and drive business value.

  • You have in-depth knowledge of risk management principles to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor project risks effectively.

  • You have expertise in resource optimization, procurement, and capacity planning to maximize resource utilization for project success.

  • You have comprehensive understanding of change management processes to adapt to project changes and drive successful change initiatives.

  • You are proficient in stakeholder analysis, communication, and engagement to manage stakeholder expectations and relationships effectively.

  • You have strong problem-solving abilities to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions under pressure.

  • You can evaluate project data, trends, and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions and drive project success.

  • You have effective negotiation skills to resolve conflicts, manage expectations, and influence stakeholders to reach mutually beneficial agreements.

  • You have exceptional leadership skills to inspire and motivate project teams, drive collaboration, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • You have excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks, meet project deadlines, and optimize project schedules for efficient project delivery.

  • You have flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing project requirements, adjust strategies, and thrive in dynamic work environments.

Compensation

$130,000-$170,000

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
