Sigma Defense is seeking a is seeking a self-directed and highly motivated individual to join our team as Network Engineer - Scrum Team Lead (CSM) in San Diego, CA. The Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) is an Acquisition Category II spiral development program that incorporates and adapts a variety of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government-Off-the-Shelf hardware and software. ADNS is the Tactical Internet Protocol (IP) Routing and Switching system for all Wide Area Network IP Services which connect afloat units to the various global shore sites. It provides ship and shore IP connectivity and promotes the efficient use of available satellite and line of site communications bandwidth. Requirements
- 3+ years experience in DoD or other Government Unclassified and Classified Systems/Networks, Cisco Routing and Switching, and Networking Engineering, Network Testing and Implementation planning.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and Scrum practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Ability to quickly resolve impediments and manage risks.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring teams to become high-performing.
- Understanding of network engineering concepts and the ability to work closely with technical teams.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and support the team.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to ensure optimum productivity.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions.
- Ability to conduct testing and regression testing on Government facilities.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, with managers, peers, and customers.
- Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and to take initiative.
- Ability to quickly grasp and implement technical concepts.
- Experience using Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Network Engineering experience with ADNS, CANES, or CaaS is preferred.
Mandatory Certifications:
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II - Security+ (or equivalent).
- Certified SCRUM Master.
- CCNA - CCNP preferred.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance.
- Clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field of study.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
- Facilitate Scrum Activities, Lead Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Manage dependencies, ensure smooth coordination between different teams and manage dependencies effectively.
- Provide visibility, keep stakeholders informed about the Agile team's delivery plans and progress.
- Manage risk, handle impediments, manage risks, and ensure compliance with policies.
- Promote Agile principles and mindset through coaching and enable continuous improvement across teams.
- Work closely with product stakeholders to maintain a healthy product and Sprint backlog.
- Apply metrics to assess team delivery, maturity, and performance, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in numerous Network integration and testing support events within Government test facilities in support of system interoperability.
- Load configurations for and troubleshoot routers, switches, Inline Network Encryptors (INEs), firewalls, and other network devices.
- Develop and maintain documentation in support of test planning, execution, and reporting.
- Perform technical document reviews and participate in technical working groups.
- Liaison with local lab managers and system administrators on the test & evaluation of the end-to-end network.
- Ability to work well with other Engineering focus groups and personnel ranging from Junior to Chief Network, Systems, or Cyber Engineers.
Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000 annually.
