Job Description:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience
Work Experiences:
- 4+ years of related work experience required Experience in a retail environment preferred
- 1+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred
Skills:
- Expert knowledge of JDA (Blue Yonder) Space/Floor Planning software, the Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast paced, frequently changing environment while remaining detailed and organized
- Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels
- Effective time management skills to support multiple projects and effectively manage a large volume of work
- Sound analytical skills, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills

Responsibilities:
- Lead the coordination to create and maintain store specific and prototypical layouts including merchandising to enhance customer experience with consideration of layout, category adjacency, space allocation, item placement and customer experience.
- Oversee the collaboration with Store Design to ensure accurate floorplan data for new, remodel, special project and chain floorplans. Modify floor plans based on macro-space change requests for existing, new, and update stores.
- Create and analyze seasonal/department heat maps. Analyze macro performance metrics for planograms/floor plans and provide space performance enhancing recommendations to Space Planning & Visual Merchandising Leadership and the organization.
- Partner with Space Planning leadership to accurately plan and execute timely floor planning in coordination with the Planogram (POG) Calendar dates.
- Oversees floorplan maintenance including but not limited to routine audits, department lines, fixture and resource library.
- Collaborates with the Space Planning Leadership Team to measure and adjust processes that enhance our ability to react timely to change and provide for effective communication across Merchandising.
- Leads and manages team of Floor Planning Specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and team performance.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including Procurement, Store Design, Retail Operations and outside vendors in distributing all merchandise fixture requirements needed for all new & updated projects.
- Partner with the Senior Manager to execute merchandising standards and business processes
- Duties will include hiring, developing, annual reviews and performance management where necessary.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Duties may change; associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned
