Clinical Research Coordinator

Clinical Research Coordinator to manage and perform daily project activities for a program to improve the health of Ohioans with disabilities; manages activities and timelines in accordance with approved workplan and strategies administered by the OSU Nisonger Center; recruits, enrolls, and supports community members to participate in specified education and program activities; educates public about purpose, goals, and strategies of project; assists with collecting, extracting, coding, and analyzing project data; ; supports activities to ensure compliance with all Institutional Review Boards (IRB), federal sponsor and state regulations; assists with coordinating and meeting external funder reporting requirements; identifies and contributes to external funding applications. Contributes to knowledge translation efforts, searching and summarizing research literature, writing scientific manuscripts for publication, developing and disseminating public health messages in clear language through web-based and social media outlets, and preparing materials for presentation at scientific conferences.

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a major in public health, social sciences, biological sciences, health sciences or medical field.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in public health, social sciences, biological sciences, health sciences or other medical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; one year experience in a clinical research capacity required; masters in public health preferred; experience or knowledge in specialty area preferred; knowledge of medical terminology desired; clinical research certification from an accredited certifying agency desired; computer skills required with experience using Microsoft Software applications desired. Requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
