Vaco Boston has partnered with a rapidly growing professional services firm located in Newburyport MA and they are looking to add a Staff Accountant to their growing team. Responsibilities Prepare workpapers and journal entries related to employee expense reports, office invoices, and cost allocations Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and weekly cash tracking updates Assist with the completion of quarter end deliverables including workpaper files, financial statements, capital account statements and various ad hoc reports Prepare and reconcile management fee calculations Ensure timely invoicing and collection of receivables Process wires and transfers on online banking systems Assist year-end audit process in collaboration with auditors Assist with tax compliance Fulfill ad hoc requests from internal and external constituents Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting with 2-3 years of work experience Strong academic record with demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analytical ability Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail Superior work ethic with ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong understanding of accounting Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word Ability to wear multiple hats as is expected in a rapidly growing firm Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco notes the salary range for the role as follows: $75000-$85000. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
