Job Summary and Responsibilities

Knowlege of Escheatment/Unclaimed Property. This position will be reconciling the Escheatment account and processing monthly escheatment tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Consistently meet standards of production and quality in the completion of assigned tasks.
  • Processing and accounting for accounts payable transactions.
  • Coding and calculations related to accounting transactions.
  • Reviews and determines accuracy of source data, account balances, calculations, postings, etc; investigates and reconciles any discrepancies.
  • Analyze compiled data and recommends appropriate actions.
  • Ensure that all processes are in accordance with Sox

A successful candidate will have the following:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to prioritize and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism, discipline and enjoy the competitive spirit of adventure.


Qualifications

Bachelors or Associates Degree (or degree in progress) in accounting or related field is preferred; and two plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
