Construction Laborer

Johns Refrigeration is looking for Construction Laborers in our Green Bay Market

Company Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Framing Carpenter, as well as a General Laborer, to join our team and help deliver excellence to our clients.

Scope of Responsibility:
The Framing Carpenter will be responsible for performing carpentry tasks, managing project completion, and working with a team to ensure all construction activities are executed efficiently and according to specifications. The General Laborer will assist with job site tasks under the direction of the Production Manager and Lead Carpenters, performing physical labor and assisting in various construction activities.

Framing Carpenter Specific Duties/Accountabilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Complete construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
• Demonstrate proficiency in framing tasks.
• Supervise and coordinate a crew of installers on the job site.
• Receive and erect modular panels.
• Set mechanical equipment in place as required.
• Coordinate with the office on site-related issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Direct other trades to ensure project completion on time.
• Identify potential issues early and address them proactively to avoid downtime.
• Apply both new and traditional technologies to improve processes and systems.
• Organize work and continually strive for excellence in all tasks.
• Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients.

Basic Qualifications (Framing Carpenter):

• Strong knowledge and skills in carpentry and framing.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the trade.
• Strong initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Computer literacy.
• Welding skills are ideal but not required.

General Laborer Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist construction personnel with job site tasks, such as material handling and site cleanup.
• Develop and enhance basic carpentry skills under the guidance of Lead Carpenters.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment on-site.
• Protect customer property by safeguarding furniture and belongings from construction debris and materials.
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
• Uphold a professional appearance and maintain a strong company image.
• Demonstrate positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
• Attend company meetings and functions as needed.
• Perform physical labor tasks, including lifting and moving materials, operating tools, and assisting with job site activities.

Basic Qualifications (General Laborer):

• Basic carpentry skills and understanding of construction tasks.
• Strong communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to read and understand construction documentation.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Physically capable of performing demanding tasks, including lifting up to 100 pounds.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, carry, bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 100 pounds consistently.
• Must be able to work at high elevations and on ladders.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
