The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Pay Range: $122,100.00 - $219,800.00

Job Description

  • The Director of Digital Experience designs, maintains and optimizes the digital experience of prospective students. This role partners with stakeholders across the university to define ensure that the technologies, customer journeys, processes and messaging are aligned with university definitions while inspiring potential students to take steps toward their enrollment. The director leads teams of individuals who are charged with website operations, SEO, marketing technology and UI/UX design.

    The Director of Digital Experience is a critical partner across the university in defining opportunities for growth as well as developing solutions. The ideal candidate for this position can pull/interpret data, evaluate options and articulate solutions to stakeholders from Academics, Legal, Technology, Admissions, Enrollment and other teams to create alignment for key initiatives. The Director of Interactive Products will present solutions and opportunities to the highest levels of leadership to ensure executive buy-in.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Direct web operations for external websites to ensure complete representation of all WGU activities (student acquisition, industry leadership, influencer connections) representing all WGU key audiences: Students, Potential Students Alumni, Media, Influencers, Partners.
  • Develop strategic directions for the constant improvement of Conversion Rate Optimization for potential students.
  • Interface with stakeholders from across the university to develop solutions to support strategic outcomes.
  • Manage the Martech stack utilization and budget ($1.5 Million).
  • Oversee the UX/UI for all audiences on external-facing digital platforms including user testing.

  • Discerning: Has in the past and can in future endeavors evaluate the needs to the team and work to research and implement new programs and technologies based on said research.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in web operations
  • 5+ years experience in MarTech managing budget of $1+ million
  • Bachelors Required, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years experience in matrix organization
  • 5+ years experience in Marketing analytics and data analysis
  • 5+ years experience working with technology teams
  • 5+ years Leading a team and 10 years industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with multiple CMS systems
  • Understanding of coding technical/development capabilities
  • Experience in UI/UX disciplines.

Position & Application Details
