The Impact You'll Make

This role will have a high-profile presence within the Deposition Product Group (DPG) and will be able to contribute and make a difference in ECOGS and inventory management and culture through knowledge, leadership, and influence within the company, ultimately delivering required improvements to our valued customers and internal functions. In this role, you will directly contribute to multi-millions of dollars in savings that will be reinvested for the future.

What You'll Do
  • Own the ECOGS (Engineering Cost of Goods Sold) budget. Collect, review, and compile proliferation forecasts from product managers and report to Finance.
  • Analyze and share insights on major ECOGS spending events and quarterly trends with business units.
  • Drive lessons learned from 8D's or Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) to prevent recurrence. Drive lessons learned into actionable improvements to reduce future ECOGS spend.
  • Develop improved ECOGS management reporting and enhance spend visibility for product and technical program managers.
  • Streamline ECOGS forecasting to improve overall efficiency.
  • Prepare and lead balance sheet reviews for DPG in manufacturing, spares, and engineering excess and obsolete (E&O) material inventory assessments with finance teams.
  • Manage DPG inventory to maximize reuse of inventory with minimal or no forecast. This is an opportunity to save the company millions of dollars as well as reduce Lam material waste.
Who We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience; or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience; or a PhD with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniques.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and demonstrating excellent leadership and influence skills to deliver results.
  • Ability to define problem statements and objectives, develop analysis solution approaches, and execute analyses.
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to influence in a fast-paced, cross-functional, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to work on multiple problems simultaneously.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI capabilities, dashboards, and data visualization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in semiconductor fabrication, semiconductor equipment operations, or related industries is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma processes, statistics, or quality systems experience.
  • Understanding of Lam products and BOM (Bill of Material) is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of finance review fundamentals.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in structured problem-solving methodologies such as PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, and quality tools.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
