A DAY IN THE LIFE Administers, designs, coordinates, and supervises the activities of a specialized accounts payable team that focuses on compliance with tax information reporting, tax withholding, and remittance regulations; issuing electronic and check payments; and resolving vendor inquiries through research and invoice statement reconciliations. Sets day-to-day operational objectives for the team and maintains proper controls to ensure timely and accurate issuance of vendor payments and year-end 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, and 1042-S reporting. Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policies and accepted accounting practices. WHAT YOU'LL NEED Minimum of a four-year degree in Accounting or a related degree; or equivalent combinations of education and work experience. Minimum of five years Accounts Payable and/or purchase to pay experience including electronic payments to US Vendors. Experience with ERP automated accounts payable systems is required (preferably JD Edwards). WHAT WILL SET YOU APART 1099 & 1042-S tax information reporting experience preferred. Experience with electronic payments to foreign vendors. 2 or more years previous supervisory experience preferred. Accounts Payable certifications such as the Accredited Payable Manager (APM) or Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) are highly desired.
