We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Sr Marketing Automation Specialist on our Marketing & Membership Experience team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office.
As a Sr Marketing Automation Specialist, you will execute
marketing automation strategies, focusing on acquisition and retention
campaigns while supporting omnichannel efforts across email, SMS, digital ads,
fax, and direct mail. This role will manage digital campaign operations and
performance analysis, ensuring the efficient execution of multichannel
campaigns and reporting workflows. This role will leverage the full marketing
technology stack-including Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Marketing Cloud
Personalization (MCP), Marketing Cloud Intelligence (Datorama), and Salesforce
Data Cloud (DC)-to drive data-driven campaign plans that optimize member
engagement and maximize ROI.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing Automation
- Implement and monitor the performance and functionality of initiatives within the marketing automation roadmap, ensuring alignment with Salesforce technology investments.
- Execute email marketing campaigns and monitor omnichannel campaign implementation, including SMS, digital ads, direct mail, fax and other channels.
- Manage day-to-day priority MMX digital marketing campaign operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution across channels while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
- Develop and optimize automation workflows to enable the marketing team to efficiently launch campaigns with minimal manual intervention.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying areas where automation and operational efficiencies can enhance productivity and campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate with marketing and project managers to develop standardized processes for campaign launches, ensuring alignment with business objectives and efficient resource allocation.
- Leverage core features of Salesforce Marketing Cloud-including Automation Studio, Journey Builder, SQL, Einstein, and its data model-to drive results for MMX retention and priority acquisition campaigns.
- Use Salesforce Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud Personalization to segment and activate audience data, to create more targeted and personalized campaigns.
Digital Campaign Operations & Analysis
- Responsible for the deployment of multichannel campaigns and automation to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Partner with project managers and marketing managers to ensure effective management of operations and campaign execution.
- Build and maintain dashboards in Salesforce Marketing Intelligence to monitor performance and provide insights, leveraging custom reporting like SQL for advanced reporting needs.Ensure a high level of service is provided to internal teams and business units with accurate and timely campaign execution and insights.
Digital Technology & Emerging Trends
- Stay up-to-date and knowledgeable about the full marketing technology stack with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Intelligence, Data Cloud, and Personalization, to remain at the cutting edge.
- Collaborate with digital marketing colleagues to ensure alignment across the broader digital marketing ecosystem.
- Identify opportunities to integrate new tools and trends to enhance campaign performance and customer engagement.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required concentration in computer science, business administration, marketing or related degree preferred; Master's Degree a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in digital marketing required; experience with membership or subscription services a plus.
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platform and the ability to drive adoption of new tools, improve processes, increase efficiencies, streamline marketing operations.
- Demonstrated experience with database management concepts and best practices; including utilizing and managing large databases.
- Demonstrated experience using customer data platforms such as Salesforce Data Cloud and personalization tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization or related technologies to unify customer data, analyze behaviors, and optimize marketing strategies across channels.
- Excellent collaboration and communications skills working with both internal teams and external stakeholders; ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and must be able to communicate with both technical and marketing audiences.
- Broad technical skills are necessary; thorough knowledge of technologies such as SQL, Excel, AMPscript, HTML/CSS is required.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications are a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills, root-causing problem-solving skills, process mapping and data modeling skills.
This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $81,600 - $108,120. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration, geographical location, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
