Description

Accountability: The Aligner installs precision parts in the machine tool bed casting. Including units, ball screws, and linear guides. This is a second shift position. The hours for this position are M-TH 3:30pm-2am.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

* Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

* Inspect and clean casting.

* Install precision parts on machined casting.

* Verify parallel of linear guides and ball screws.

* Install precision units on machine tool.

* Use precision instruments to check geometry of machine tool.

* Operate overhead crane to install heavy items.

* Operate walk behind fork truck to transport parts.

* Operate overhead crane to move machine tool to different locations in the facility.

Education/Certification:

* High school diploma.

* Some College or Trade School preferred.

Skills:

* Mechanical Aptitude

* Experience with hand tools

* Experience with power tools

* Previous Crane and walk behind fork truck training.

* Experience using precision instruments.
