*Job Description*
* 6+ years of increased responsibility in import customs compliance roles (professional services firm(s), Fortune 500 company, etc.) * Licensed Customs Broker License preferred. * Advanced tariff classification experience and managing classification programs. * Knowledge of US Customs programs including Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Orders, and PGAs (e.g. FDA, EPA.) * Proficiency with MS Office and SAP-GTS. * Support the Clients Global Trade classification program and other classification teams globally. o Conduct classification analysis to arrive at an accurate HTS by using various trade tools such as GRIs, CROSS rulings, WCO explanatory notes, and other classification tools. o Maintain & monitor previous part classifications in SAP-GTS to ensure consistent and valid tariff numbers. o Monitor, measure and develop reports with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs.) o Evaluate new government requirements and partner with regional teams to ensure import compliance. o Perform global classification and duty analysis on clients products. o Lead global classification audits and root cause any errors. o Manage classification specific projects as assigned. * Create and maintain process and procedures. * Create effective and clear communication with stakeholders (Emails, Presentations, etc.) This classification process impacts the companies ability to bring in everything from machinery to components that go into creating Apple products. This can also significantly impact taxes and the bottom line of the company. With recent presidential election, they are expecting lots of changes to be made to Trade industry and imports. Therefore lots of work being created so need more help. *Education & Experience* * BA/BS degree plus 6+ years of equivalent practical work experience. A Masters and/or JD degree is a plus. *Top Skills' Details* 1) 6+ years in customs/trade compliance managing large import compliance programs for professional service / fortune 500 / high tech companies. US AND Canada Import Compliance. 2) Experience with classification of imports for Us and Canada 2) Dealing with external vendors on regular basis (carriers, transportation companies, etc.) 3) Leveraging Excel and SAP (or other large ERP systems) for classification and driving KPI/data analysis Personality: Great communication, problem solver, takes initiative, sharp, able to learn and ramp up quickly, don't need hand held. Strong Apple personality. Able to come on site in Austin or Sunnyvale Plus: US Customs Brokers License *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $60000.00/yr. - Health insurance - Life insurance - Disability insurance Additionally, you will be entitled to 2 Weeks of paid vacation for each year of employment in accordance with our usual policies.
