Supply Coordinator - Surgical Services
  • Location Site: Salem Hospital Main Campus

  • Schedule: 1500-2330 with weekends

Your Role With Us:

As a Supply Coordinator, you will apply your knowledge of ordering practices to maintain the necessary supply of critical materials used in surgical procedures. You'll master our supply processes, assist with acquisitions and distribution across various departments. Use your keen eye for improvements will help us optimize workflows and anticipate supply needs. You'll be a go-to resource for your teammates and step in as the OR Supply Expeditor when needed. In this role, you will directly impact patient care by ensuring our surgical services have the supplies they need, exactly when they need them. Join us and help make a difference every day!

Background/Expertise:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • One (1) years of any supply processing experience (sorting, inventorying, distributing) required.
  • One (1) years of hospital supply processing experience required.
  • Ability to follow directions required.
  • Surgical Services experience highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory control concepts and systems used in ordering and stocking supplies and equipment preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of inventory management, knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
  • Ability to prioritize, change direction as needed, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications used to perform the duties of the position including, but not limited to: Infor/Lawson/McKesson, Qsight, and Epic.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, which provide the ability to interact positively and persuasively with a wide variety of people.
  • Ability to work as a team member and share appropriate responsibilities.
