Facilities Management (FM) is offering an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to contribute to the department's goal of providing consistent, cost-effective, and reliable maintenance and service to University Central Grounds Zone customers. This role involves maintaining both historic and modern facilities, including the iconic Thomas Jefferson's Academical Village, which encompasses the Rotunda, Pavilions, and Lawn & Range Student Rooms, as well as contemporary classroom buildings. The selected candidate acts in critical role in ensuring the electrical systems of these diverse structures function smoothly, blending the preservation of historic spaces with the demands of modern infrastructure. This position is essential in upholding the quality and reliability of services to support the university community. Electricians are responsible for responding to renovation projects and support to maintenance work orders within Central Grounds Zone. They provide labor and technical knowledge for installation and maintenance of building components and mechanical systems while providing a safe environment. Electricians perform work of moderate difficulty which involves repairing, installing, connecting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in buildings. Electrician Responsibilities:

Physical Demands: The employee must be able to variously sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, stoop, bend, squat, lift, pull, and use both hands-on repetitive tasks (including overhead tasks).
