Schedule: Full-Time, Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented OR Scheduler to join our Pediatrics GI team at Lee Convenient Care - Summerlin. The ideal candidate will coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent patient care. Prior experience with EPIC is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule and coordinate surgical procedures for the Pediatrics GI department.
Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, and patients to confirm scheduling details.
Verify insurance authorizations and pre-surgical requirements.
Update and maintain accurate records in EPIC.
Address scheduling conflicts and ensure optimal OR utilization.
Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in OR scheduling or a healthcare administrative role.
Proficiency in EPIC (highly preferred).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Clerical position, responsible for effective scheduling, coding, verifying insurance and/or obtaining necessary pre-certification/authorization for surgical procedures, utilizing computer scheduling software in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Interacts with physicians, patients, families and department staff to meet identified needs.
