Title Specialist II

The Title Specialist II position will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of vehicle titles by verifying title information is correct, interacting with clients and regulatory agencies to resolve title issues. Additional responsibilities will include knowledge of departmental policies and procedures for title release, ACH payments for title release and follow-up on titles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Review titles for negotiability, sign and reassign titles for sellers and buyers.

* Complete application for new title on behalf of clients as needed.

* Facilitate lien perfection on NextGear Capital financed collateral when required.

* Release a NextGear Capital lien on collateral that has been paid in full according to policy.

* Answer communications from all clients on title questions and issues to resolution, escalating if necessary.

* Troubleshoot and resolve title issues on behalf of all clients according to state specific title requirements.

* Communicate effectively with BMV/DMV agencies.

* Monitor aging of titles following departmental procedures and policies.

* Process documents received by clients to complete title follow-up.

* Process ACH payments for non-compliant vehicles.

* Assist in cross training existing team members.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Previous vehicle title experience and title handling is not a requirement but is desired for the position.

* Must have great organizational skills and be detail oriented.

* Effective communication skills and strong customer service attitude is required.

* Ability to recognize title brands and other relevant notations related to titles is not a requirement but is desired for the position.

* Willingness to become an Indiana Notary is desired.

Education and Experience:

* High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience; or 5 years' experience in a related field

* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Physical Demands:

* Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.

* Bending and light lifting 10 lbs or less required.

* Extensive detail handwritten and computer work.

Work Environment:

* Office environment

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

USD 17.74 - 26.59 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $17.74 - $26.59/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
