Inspection Lead

Job Summary

Responsible for the documentation of product performance and/or test results. Inspect materials and/or products for conformance to specifications. Resolves issues related to production, machinery, processing, and/or packaging operations. Ensures quality control standards are maintained.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Instruct and assist lower level associates in the thread inspection.
• Examines product/material for defects.
• Rejects defective product/materials and records type of defect.
• Monitors performance(s) in required areas and according to agreed upon standards and updates Quality job aids.
• Maintains all testing equipment.
• Verifies specified dimensions of product or material per drawing using gauges.
• Works with customers and suppliers where quality issues are impacted and/or affected.
• Perform QA audits and notify Production Manager with findings if necessary.
• Perform first piece inspection and sign off.

Preferred Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred.
• Ability to use various test & measure devices.
• 2-3 years of experience in area of responsibilities.

Pay: $19.23 - $27.48 per hour
