Senior Accountant Irving, TX One Vaco's Fortune 500 clients is looking to onboard a Senior Accountant for their regional office here in Dallas. This is a very stable company with a solid pipeline of new business for the next several years and people tend to stay with the company for a long time. They love to succession plan and career path internally if possible and they're huge on culture - love planning team building events (i.e. March Madness brackets, dad joke competitions, etc.) Ideal Accountants will have a good foundation in day-to-day accounting but also carry an analytical mindset, identifying variances as they come up and working with the Manager to prepare reporting packages. Compensation: $70-85K + Bonus Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of general ledger entries. Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and statements. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets. Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements and audit schedules. Assist in the preparation of budget reports and forecasts. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports. Identify areas of opportunity for improving accounting processes and workflows. Participate in the implementation of new accounting software or systems when applicable. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or working towards CPA is a plus. 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance, with knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains, etc.) preferred.
