Client: Building Services/Management Organization Role: Billing/AR Manager Salary: $100,000 - $120,000/annually + Benefits Location: Long Island City, NY - *Hybrid - 3 days a week in office* Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable / Billing Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire accounts receivable cycle, overseeing the billing process, and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for our clients. In addition, this position requires proficiency in NetSuite, as you will leverage this system to streamline operations, manage accounts, and produce financial reports. The role involves leadership responsibilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities: * Accounts Receivable Management: o Oversee daily AR activities, including invoicing, payments, collections, and account reconciliations. o Monitor and manage aging reports, ensuring timely follow-up with clients on overdue accounts. o Review and resolve any billing discrepancies or payment issues with customers. o Maintain accurate customer records, ensuring proper documentation for all transactions. * Billing Process: o Manage the accurate and timely issuance of invoices for goods/services rendered in accordance with contractual agreements. o Develop and implement billing procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. o Coordinate with sales, customer service, and project management teams to ensure accurate billing based on customer contracts and project milestones. * NetSuite Expertise: o Utilize NetSuite to manage AR transactions, generate reports, and ensure proper integration with other financial systems. o Maintain the integrity of the AR module in NetSuite by regularly updating customer data and ensuring proper coding and classification of transactions. o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to accounts receivable, highlighting key metrics and aging data. o Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes related to AR. * Team Leadership & Collaboration: o Supervise and mentor accounts receivable and billing staff, providing guidance and training as needed. o Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth and accurate processing of transactions. o Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations of AR and billing processes. * Compliance & Reporting: o Ensure adherence to financial controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. o Support management with ad hoc financial reports and analysis related to accounts receivable and billing. o Monitor cash flow and support efforts to improve working capital and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
