Network Test Engineer (IPv6) Ft. Meade, MD Pay From: $130,000 per year MUST: Experienced IPv6 Network Test Engineer with DOD network Systems Active Secret clearance required Minimum of 5 years experience Required DoD Approved 8570/8140 Level II Certification, i.e., Network+ CE, Security+ CE, CISSP similar IPv6 experience - expertise in the design, deployment, and testing of IPv6 networks and/or the transition of networks from IPv4 to IPv6 Advanced knowledge of and experience with networking technologies, concepts, and Protocols, including but not limited to, TCP/IP, routing, switching, IPAM, DNS, DDNS, DHCP, F5 GTM / LTM, SSH, VPN products (IPSec, SSL VPN), Internet Proxy, IPS, IDS, IP routing protocols including RIP, BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast, MPLS/RSVP, IS-IS, IPv6, and QoS; Advanced Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) services (L3VPN, L2VPN, VPLS & CSC), Ethernet traffic analysis tool, TAPs, and traffic brokers, LAN/WAN, SONET, ICMP and SNMP management protocols. Expert knowledge of various IT infrastructure technologies (e.g. applications, servers, networks, storage) Testing experience supported by a network and systems engineering background E xperience in test engineering and knowledge of test engineering principles and experience with implementing them into test-related activities Experience working with the RMF (eMASS) process Experience with writing technical documentation DISN and Internet IP Design Experience (plus) Network test equipment/Traffic Generator such as IXIA, Spirent Test Center, Smartbits and Agilent N2X Understanding of technology concepts such as SDLC, systems engineering, IT performance management, IT operations, operational monitoring, security monitoring, and KPIs Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a technical field required (Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications, or related discipline) DUTIES: IPv6 Network Test Engineer, you will be responsible for IPv6 engineering, testing, and implementations, and providing Tier III support for all IPv6 initiatives ensuring mission success Supporting the technical planning, analysis, engineering, and testing for all IPv6 initiatives Contributing, in a team environment, to deliver customer solution requirements within a specified timeline and budget Part of a network engineering team performing Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities for multiple network systems Responsible for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of various network devices and servers in support of an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) environment Configure necessary hardware in multiple operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing Drive the design, test and overall deployment of network devices and servers throughout the acquisition and engineering lifecycle Develop Test and Evaluation documentation: Test Plans, Test Reports, Test Scripts, Test Procedures, Configuration Guides, etc. Work closely with the client to define a transition plan and overall architecture to support the migration from IPv4-based to IPv6-based networks Work closely with Tier III support engineers Provide all required documentation in support of Configuration Control Boards (CCB) Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
