As the Plant Manager, you will serve as a strategic leader overseeing all aspects of our Woodland, CA facility, ensuring seamless integration of manufacturing and foundry operations with overall business objectives. Reporting to the Sr. VP of Global Operations, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing production efficiency, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can align production strategies with business goals while enhancing workforce engagement and driving long-term growth.

Position Summary:

As the Plant Manager, you will serve as a strategic leader overseeing all aspects of our Woodland, CA facility, ensuring seamless integration of manufacturing and foundry operations with overall business objectives. Reporting to the Sr. VP of Global Operations, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing production efficiency, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can align production strategies with business goals while enhancing workforce engagement and driving long-term growth.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide leadership for all plant operations, ensuring alignment with business strategy, financial objectives, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and process optimization while maintaining high-quality production standards.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring and developing teams, promoting accountability, and empowering supervisors, engineers, and operators.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvements, making data-driven decisions to optimize processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies, reinforcing a culture of workplace safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with production, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining production targets and quality benchmarks.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance planning to minimize downtime and support long-term operational sustainability.
  • Travel up to 20% to support company initiatives, visit other facilities, and participate in leadership meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational success.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in operational leadership, workforce development, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other efficiency-driven methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of safety compliance, regulatory standards, and quality assurance practices.

  • Safety & Compliance - Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and workplace safety best practices.
  • Quality Assurance & Control - Proficiency in managing and monitoring quality systems to meet industry standards.
  • ERP & Manufacturing Software - Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination - Ability to optimize inventory management and procurement processes.
  • Data Analytics & KPI Management - Ability to track and analyze performance metrics to support continuous improvement.
  • Project Management - Skilled in leading cross-functional initiatives and ensuring project deliverables are met on time.

Management/Supervision:

This position leads on-site operational teams, including direct managers of production employees.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent walking, talking, and hearing are required in both office and manufacturing settings.
  • Occasional standing, sitting, and handling of materials.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds as needed.

Work Environment:

  • A combination of office and manufacturing environments requires adaptability to both strategic discussions and hands-on problem-solving.
  • Leadership in a high-paced operational setting, with a focus on efficiency, workforce engagement, and performance excellence.
  • Travel of up to 20% may be required for off-site meetings, corporate initiatives, and facility collaboration.

Compensation Information:

In compliance with California's Transparency Law, this position offers a salary range of $165,000 - $205,000, with the potential to earn an annual bonus of 20-25% of the employee's base salary.
