Position Summary: Job Responsibilities: -Work with OAI Leadership and Faculty to define research strategy for the Sensory Health Aging Research Program (SHARP), and other initiatives across the Institute. Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic thinking and planning to guide growth and management of the program's initiatives. -Collaborate with Faculty to prepare grant applications, in particular large, complex multi-investigator initiatives, and coordinate grant submission, including writing major sections and drafts in areas of expertise. Monitor funding landscape, evaluate and identify opportunities, and shape ideas into appropriate initiatives. -Work closely with project principal investigators (PIs) to oversee specific scientific projects end-to-end, including planning, delegating responsibilities, monitoring progress, guiding analyses, reporting to funding agencies, and communicating results. -Work closely with project PIs to ensure scientific productivity of research programs, and assist with development of research abstracts, manuscripts, conference presentations, literature reviews, and other products. -Help recruit, train and mentor research staff and trainees in areas related to epidemiologic research and analysis. Drive day-to-day management of the program's activities and staff and coordinate the efforts and priorities of research staff with related collaborators, guaranteeing proper adherence to standards in recording and reporting progress. -Coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas and sharing action steps. Establish and maintain effective systems of communication across project teams, partners, stakeholders, and funding agencies. -Organize and maintain project materials on multiple internal and external shared drives with academic partners. -Oversee interactions and the submission and maintenance of documents required by the NYU Institutional Review Board (IRB), NYU Office of Clinical Trials, Data Safety and Monitoring Board, and any other parties for conduct of human subjects research. -Develop study evaluation tools and presentations for training and educational sessions. Help develop communications and project/research activities at field sites, including recruitment, consenting, data collection, and data requests/transfers. Monitors progress towards completing project deliverables and adherence to study timelines. -Manage administrative functions and advise on operational effectiveness, including infrastructure needs, daily operations, development and communication of policies and procedures, and onboarding and offboarding of study staff in a remote and onsite work environment. -Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $117,107.95 - $195,179.92 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
