Key Responsibilities

  • Manage collection, tracking, and analysis of sustainability data to inform reporting on progress and ongoing strategy in the areas of waste, Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, and water and electricity usage.
  • Support corporate environmental and sustainability leadership to align and collaborate with various departments to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations and business processes, driving accountability and ownership throughout functions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of operational and utility sustainability initiatives, such as energy efficiency improvements, waste reduction programs, water conservation measures, and renewable energy projects, aligning with overall company strategy and action plans.
  • Create and maintain sustainability data and metrics dashboard so data can be continuously assessed, and company progress can be easily communicated.
  • Drive innovation in sustainable practices, technologies, and solutions to continuously improve and implement sustainability strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with the organization's goals.,
  • Lead Sustainability Working Group for users of sustainability software. Support continuous improvement in data granularity and quality related to sustainability metrics. Support future sustainability software changes and upgrades.
  • Influence operations teams in driving cultural consistency and change that align with our core values and support the overall Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) strategy.
  • Support facility and operations management to deliver a concise value proposition for sustainability initiatives and provide support/feedback for inquiries and needs regarding sustainability topics.
  • Effectively communicate with business leaders, other department managers, employees, and ESG professionals on a regular basis to discuss sustainability strategies and programs and emphasize the importance of leading with sustainability. Become highly efficient using safety and environmental management software, VelocityEHS. Support analysis projects and reporting on incidents on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Participate in and lead environmental and safety initiatives, as business needs evolve.

The TOOLS You'll Bring With You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience with corporate environmental topics (environmental and safety compliance, utility reporting, emissions reduction etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience working cross-functionally with various teams/departments/stakeholders on a national/global level.
  • Broad knowledge of environmental/compliance topics and applicable national, regional, and local environmental requirements.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience in a corporate sustainability setting within the manufacturing industry.
  • Solid understanding of (and passion for) environmental sustainability issues and impact measurement.
  • Accustomed to working in a global, diverse, and dynamic cross-functional environment with strong collaboration and communication/presentation skills to all levels of an organization.
  • Advanced Excel experience.
  • Advanced Data Visualization Skills (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
